8. Data protection and security
Taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing, as well as the risk of varying likelihood and severity for the rights and freedoms of natural persons, the Controller implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.
The organisations involved in the processing apply reasonable physical, technical and organisational security measures to protect the data of data subjects, in particular against accidental, unauthorised or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, use, access or processing. Access to the data is restricted: only a limited number of employees of the organisations involved in the processing, whose duties concern the matter, have access to the data.

11. Your rights and remedies
Data subjects may exercise their rights under the GDPR throughout the processing, at any time, using the contact details given in points 1 and 2.
Data subjects may
- request access to their personal data (the right to obtain confirmation from the controller as to whether or not their personal data are being processed and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and the information set out in the GDPR) (Article 15 GDPR);
- request rectification of their personal data (the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified without undue delay and, taking into account the purposes of the processing, to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of a supplementary statement) (Article 16 GDPR);
- request erasure of their personal data (the right to have personal data erased without undue delay where justified under the GDPR; a request for erasure cannot be granted where the processing is required by law) (Article 17 GDPR);
- request restriction of processing (the right to have processing restricted where a condition set out in the GDPR applies) (Article 18 GDPR);
- exercise the right to data portability (the right to receive the personal data they have provided to a controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance, where the conditions set out in the GDPR are met) (Article 20 GDPR);
- object to processing (the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to their particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f), including profiling based on those provisions; the controller may then no longer process the data unless it demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; an objection cannot be granted where the processing is required by law) (Article 21 GDPR);
- where processing is based on consent, withdraw their consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Requests should be sent to the Controller's postal address or to adatvedelem@mfa.gov.hu. The Controller will respond in writing as soon as possible and within one month at the latest (15 days in the case of an objection); this period may be extended by a further two months, taking into account the complexity of the request. In the event of an infringement, data subjects may also bring proceedings before a court (at their choice, before the regional court competent for their place of residence or stay), and may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság, Falk Miksa utca 9–11, 1055 Budapest; tel.: +36 1 391 1400; website: naih.hu; e-mail: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu).
