College De Valk
College De Valk in Leuven (Latin: Collegium Falconis; Hungarian: Sólyom Kollégium), located at 41 Tiensestraat in Leuven’s historic city center. Following the 1956 Revolution, thanks to an agreement between Rector Msgr. Honoré Van Waeyenberg and István Muzslay, a Hungarian Jesuit priest living in Belgium, the institution opened its doors to Hungarian university students who had fled their country, providing them with a home during those difficult times. The residence, established on the second floor, provided a home for Hungarian university students fleeing from Austria for five years. Later, this location became the center of intellectual life for Hungarian émigrés in Leuven. Today, this monumental complex with its Classicist façade houses the Faculty of Law at KU Leuven.
