Stories about this memorial
Yearly, we gather to commemorate the 1956 Hungarian Freedom Fighters and those that have sacrificed their lives. We remember the resiliency, grit and courage of those that fought to survive. With each anniversary of the 1956 Uprising, we recall the Thousands of brave Hungarians who fought for their freedom during the Hungarian Revolution against the Soviets. Cindy’s mom and dad are survivors and have dedicated themselves to make sure this history is not forgotten. They are wonderful people who are also deeply involved in the community. I’m glad we always take the time to remember the date and honor their bravery. Isten áldd meg a Magyart!
