Memorial Stone

The 1956 memorial stone located in the Rimavská Sobota (Rimaszombat) public cemetery is an important symbolic memorial site for the local Hungarian community, standing in front of the Fábry family crypt. Every year, commemorations and wreath-laying ceremonies related to the October 23 national holiday are held at the memorial, during which local civic organizations, parishes, and community members come together to pay their respects to the heroes of the 1956 Revolution and War of Independence, as well as to the victims of the reprisals in Slovakia.
